Same ole same

Nothing new... just working on assignments and looking for job vacancies on-line. Anyone know of a principal looking for an assistant principal, teacher, or specialist?

It has been nice to spend time with Mom, Dad, and my doggie. I love to play the Wii Fit, and I eat better when I'm here. Mom is doing her best to teach me some cooking skills. Maybe I'll go play on the Wii now... anything to put off the assignment.

I'd Like to Teach the World to Sing....

While in Atlanta, we also went to Coca~Cola (one of my favorite drinks)! I couldn't believe all the stuff they have from over the years. There was one room you could sit in and watch all the commericals they've ever run.

This picture is from one of the room FULL of posters from over the years.

Cary and the Soda-jerk

I love the Coca~Cola polar bear- very cute.

The first room you walk into has all these bottles. They are designed and sent from all over the world. There are tons of them through out the building!

This one is from New Zealand! Sorry Claire, we couldn't find Australia, but thought this was close. (for those of you that don't know, Cary is half Australian)

At the end of the tour, you enter the tasting room. Each of those green poles represents a continent. Around the pole are different soda machines that you can get drinks from. There are some bad tasting drinks out there made by Coca~Cola! I think I'll just stick to my native stuff.

Across the street from the aquarium and Coca~Cola is Centennial Oylmpic Park. What a beautiful park! We walked through it ever chance we got. Many people were out tossing the football or having picnics, and one guy was even juggling!

While sitting in the park, you can see the CNN building. Neither of us felt the need to go inside.
It was a great trip, and I'd go back to Atlanta anyday.

Georgia on my Mind

Cary had to go to Atlanta for work, so for the end of my Spring Break I joined him. We saw lots: the amazing aquarium, Coca~Cola, Centennial Park, and the outside of CNN ;-) I'll post pics for awhile because I can tell you now that nothing exciting is coming up- just finishing papers, assignments, and studying for exams!

Here are pics from the aquarium. It's the largest in the world! I love going to aquariums, but Cary turned back into a kid when he saw the whale sharks. He told me he's still thinking of paying the hundred something dollars to go back and swim with them! For two hundred something, you can dive with them. Geez, boys and sharks.

This is our best picture of the many, many, many pictures we took of the whale shark.

This is Rosie standing on top of her house. Something is wrong with her and she's on antibiotics. She is not molting for some reason. They explained to us that if she doesn't get new feathers and get new oil on them, then she'll sink when she gets in the water. :-( They said that she knew this, so she hasn't gotten in the water. Thank goodness! Hopefully her medicine will start working soon- she looked so sad watching everyone else swim.

I swear these guys never swim. They always just float. Perfect for my picture taking though.

I'll be back with more later....

Happy Days

It's Spring Break, so I'm getting a lot done. Cary and I finished up hanging some pictures, etc. The guest room is done, so come visit whenever!

Magen and Mike came in town. Once we finally made it through the nighmare event of parking, we were singing our lil' hearts out! At least Magen and I were- Mike and Cary put up with us.

As much as we love Gary Allan, Magen and I really love carnival food!!!!!

We even met up with Tim and Lindsey!

I have a picture of my parents in front of the Farris Wheel just like this!

Mike and Magen- the soon to be parents! I get to be Aunt Deb!!!

Waiting for the bus; everyone had fun, but we were tired! Some of it may have to do with me coming down from my sugar rush- I gobbled up that bag of cotton candy in no time!

Mike and Magen had to go back home this morning, but now I'm keeping myself busy with the new washer and dryer. Yea for clean clothes!

Cary won't be happy to see this, but I thought this was a pretty spider web with dew on it outside one of our windows.
Happy Spring Break!

Moving....

I hate packing; I hate moving; I hate cleaning old apartments; I hate unpacking. I'm looking forward to enjoying our new home this summer! The weather is nice again now, and I just want to play and work in my yard.

Two more days until Magen and Mike come to stay! We get to go see our FAVORITE at the rodeo: Gary Allan!

Off to work on school stuff... just a few more assignments and I'll be DONE. Whoop!

GREAT Day!

Yesterday, Cary and I had a great, full day. We started off attending the Aggie basketball game where we beat Missouri.

Wearing our white for the game

This guy entertained me all game. He wrote on his body, "Jiggling our way to the NCAA." His back said something too, but I can't remember it now. College kids will do anything to get on ESPN.

The students got so excited they rushed the court at the end of the game.

Next we headed to the local winery, Messina Hoff, for a tour and tasting.

After our tour and tasting, we headed to Cafe Eccell for a wonderful steak dinner and AMAZING strawberry tart!!! It was a perfect day.
This morning we woke up at Cary's parents house where we got to sit on the back porch and read the paper, drink orange juice, etc. Some of the beautiful view:

The drive up and back was great too. I love when all the bluebonnets cover the medians along the highway.

Oh- and we finally bought a washer and dryer today. Clean clothes without having to take them to and from the apartment- yea!
Most of you know how I like my sleep, so "springing forward" is not my favorite thing. Between the time change and our busy weekend, I'm tired. Thank goodness Spring Break is a week away!

March already? Yipee!

I can't believe it's already March! My kids (students) take the writing TAKS test tomorrow. This year is flying by.
In a matter of weeks my furniture, etc. will be moving to the new house, and I will be once again moving home with Mom and Dad until the school year is over. I'm looking forward to eating a regular dinner every night. Mom also told me today that she bought Wii Fit- now maybe I'll work out while at home. Saving money and losing weight... I may never leave home!!!
9 more school days until Spring Break- yahoo!
