Not much new

My 30th birthday was good. Celebrated by having dinner with my family, Cary, Tony, and Christine at Ninfa's.

Why does everyone think it's so funny to sing loudly to the birthday girl?

(I need a tan and a workout!)

This weekend Cary and I traveled to Lousiana for his friend's wedding. It was nice to see everyone, but I've learned (which I kinda had already had an idea) that I will never step foot in a casino with Cary again. Truth be told, he usually wins, but he plays ALL night and then sleeps all the next day. This does not go over well with me unless he has big winnings to share with me. ;-)

I haven't been on the computer in days since I've been gone, so I visited Mom's blog. She has a cool mosaic thing on there, so I copied her.

V-day and an early B-day

Friday night some of us went out to dinner to celebrate my upcoming 30th. Cary is a little sneak and arranged for Magen and Mike to come in from Austin and surprise me! I have surprised Magen several times over the years, but never once did it cross my mind that she'd surprise me. I have a great boyfriend and awesome best friend!

Below are some of my friends that helped me celebrate. Small and simple this year!

Saturday morning Magen and Mike left, so Cary and I had V-day to ourselves. Cary bought me a camera for my birthday, and we decided to head to our favorite park.

Cary likes to get a little too close to some of our "friends"

I'm fine with the ducks, but these nutria are a bit much for me. Cary has nicknamed them Nutie. In case you've never seen them before, nutria are huge water RATS!

V-day early

Today Mom brought me lunch (Taco Bell) and an early Valentine! She's so good to me. She made me a cute Valentine's Day album. Now I can put pictures in albums by category- my OCD kicking in and getting excited! ;-)
I think I've finished up another module for class. Yipee! I'm trying my best to stay ahead since we have such busy weekends coming up.

It finally rained here today. I've never really cared about not getting rain so much until now- our new lawn is not looking the best. Oh- speaking of the house.... I took Cary to Garden Ridge this weekend. That was an experience! He's never been before. We got several pictures and a rug for the living room! I'll try to remember to take pictures soon.

Here is a picture of me at work with my gift from Mom.

Pictures, as promised

Here is all of us (two of my male cousins are missing since they had to work, but the girls brought along dates). Two of Papa's siblings are sitting on each side of him.

I can't believe it's already February!

Sigh... I'm tired.

We had a busy, but nice weekend. Friday I took off work, and Cary and I drove, and drove, and drove to see Brittany and family. Her baby boy is the cutest ever! He's so little and loves his Aunt Debbie Dangerous (that's Britt's name for me). We enjoyed our time there eating, laughing, and playing a new domino game, Train.

Saturday morning we woke up and drove to Tyler to celebrate Papa's 90th with the whole family! It was great to see everyone, and Cary and Kacee got to experience for a day or two what it's like to be a Richter grand kid. We are very blessed to have such a loving and fun family.

Sunday we woke up and drove some more. We got home, took a nap for half an hour, went to a Super Bowl party for the first half, and then came home so I could take a quiz. Whew! One long weekend.

I'll try to post pictures as I get them (I didn't take my camera... I think I need a new one for my b-day). Here is one of me and the lil' cutie pie:
