Friday after work, I drove to Waco to meet Magen and her friend Trish at the Wallaces' home. I've known Magen for 12 years now, she's my best friend, and I've never been to her parents' house in Waco... I can't believe it. Anyway, I drove up there, and Friday night we went to hear a concert. Wade Bowen and Randy Rogers were playing! Wade is a friend of Magen's from high school, and Randy is married to a friend of a friend. The guys sounded great and we had a good time. Before the concert, we went to the famous George's Bar and I had my first Big-O! (pictured above)
The next morning we woke up and drove to Canton for First Monday Trading Days! I LOVED it! Mom took me back in high school, but I don't really remember it much. Everything is better when you have your own house to shop for now. I bought a lot and didn't spend too much money. Cary even approved and liked all the items I bought. I already have a list going for my next trip. ;-)
Magen is such a trooper. I was worn out after shopping all day and from the concert the night before. Magen is 5 months pregnant and did great through it all! I guess she really does love her Texas country music and shopping in Canton after all! Thanks for taking me, Magen!

Memorial Day weekend
This weekend we joined friends at John's farm/lake house in Palestine. It was beautiful and we really lucked out on the weather. This is the view from the back patio. There is a dock off to the right that we enjoyed laying out on too! They have two boats with little motors (don't know what you call them) that Cary and I took out onto the lake. Fun was had by all.
Here is John with Ashley's dog, Baxter.
Cary and Mason were the champs of washers this weekend. Cary came and told me after every game they won. See how pleased he is with himself? ;-)
These are the best outfits John and Mason could find...
Cary and Jason were introduced to another game this weekend that they fell in love with: Crispy Wickets. They played for hours.
A great time was had by all this weekend. We can't thank John enough for having us. We look forward to going again!

I did it!
The familyMy brother and I have this pose for every graduation. First my undergrad, then his, now mine again.
Not sure what this pic is all about, but I think it goes something like Cary saying this, "Wow! Look at my hot girlfriend who just graduated with her Masters degree. Put that hat back on."

Richard using some flame thing to start the fire. We all were taken back by it, and of course Mom got a picture of it!
Hanging out at the Cooks' house
I graduated with my Masters of Education in Educational Administration from TAMU over the weekend. Whoop! I will post pics when I get to Mom's this week... she has the pics on her camera. (it was raining so we didn't take many)
Thanks to the Cooks for having us all over to their beautiful home after for dinner. Everything was perfect!

Fun in Omaha!
(Jessica, Carolyn (her twin), Christine the bride, and me)
Missing Kelly and Josette
Me and Cary at rehearsal dinner
Us at the wedding
Me with Mr. and Mrs. Navarro!
First dance
This past weekend, Cary and I flew to Omaha to be part of Tony's and Christine's wedding. It was beautiful, but of course my camera cord is at the house in Cinco.... so you'll have to wait on pictures.
We stayed in the Old Market area of Omaha. There are a ton of cute shops and tasty restaurants and bars right there. It was great; we could walk everywhere. The weather was wonderful too. The photographer couldn't understand how us "Texas girls" were cold while taking pictures outside (it was probably in the upper 60s).
Sunday before we flew out, Cary and I visited the Omaha zoo. If you've never been, you must go. It ranks up there with San Diego. We got there around 9:30 when it opened and left around 3:15 (we had a flight to catch) and still didn't see everything.
Thanks Tony and Christine for including us on your special day. Hope you're enjoying Hawaii.
Upcoming.... graduation this weekend!

It's official....
I found out today that I passed my final exam. May 16th I'll find myself walking across the stage at TAMU graduation for a second time! Right now I can't believe that I did it... Mom was right- I'll feel more of a sense of completion when I walk. Whoop!

Another yipee!
I still have my administration screening interview with Katy ISD coming up, but just in case I'm covered- I've been offered and accepted a 3rd grade teaching position at Katy Elementary. Paycheck and insurance are a guarantee for me next year!
I also found out that Aldine will continue to provide my current insurance until the end of August!
Off to meet friends at Berry Hill... I love sitting outside and eating queso while enjoying a beverage and laughs with friends!
